Issues & Priorities

My campaign is guided by people over politics, transparency, accessibility, fiscal responsibility, integrity, practical experience, and service. These are the standards I will use when making decisions for Precinct 4 and Brazos County.

My Vision for Precinct 4

I want Precinct 4 to have accessible representation, accountable budgeting, responsible growth, strong public safety, and infrastructure that keeps pace with our county without placing avoidable burdens on taxpayers.

People Over Politics, Transparency and Availability

County government should be accessible and accountable. I will listen across Precinct 4, share information before major decisions are made, explain my votes clearly, and remain available outside traditional business hours when residents need to reach their commissioner.

Public Safety and Law Enforcement

I will support the sheriff’s office and the men and women who keep our communities safe. Public-safety decisions should be based on real needs, responsible planning, and the resources required to serve a growing county effectively.

Taxpayer Stewardship and County Assets

Every tax dollar comes from someone who worked to earn it. I will ask what problem an expenditure solves, what alternatives were considered, what the full life-cycle cost will be, and who is accountable for the result. I will also consider maintenance, useful life, and replacement needs for county roads, buildings, equipment, land, infrastructure, and other public assets.

Roads, Infrastructure and Flood Control

I will prioritize the maintenance of roads and bridges, practical drainage and flood-mitigation work, and long-range planning that keeps infrastructure aligned with growth. I believe we should maintain what taxpayers already own and address problems before deferred maintenance becomes more expensive.

Property Rights and Local Control

I will defend landowners from unnecessary overregulation and abuse of eminent domain. Decisions that shape Brazos County should be made as close to the people affected by them as possible.

Integrity, Experience and Leadership

My military service, field-engineering work, building-inspection experience, and financial and administrative leadership at VFW Post 4692 give me a practical, service-first approach. I will study the details, seek qualified advice, ask difficult questions, and take responsibility for my decisions.

Accessible Representation

Representation should not end when the courthouse closes. I will return messages as promptly as possible, listen respectfully even when we disagree, and make sure residents understand what county government can and cannot do.
